In-app deletion steps
- Open the Benignant app.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open the account/profile menu from the dashboard.
- Choose the account deletion option.
- Re-authenticate if the app asks for your password or a recent login.
- Confirm deletion.
What deletion does
- Deletes or anonymizes server-side account and identity-linked data.
- Detaches or anonymizes authored question-bank educational content where retention is needed for the educational bank.
- Retains compliance consent logs where legally needed to prove consent and defend legal claims.
- May retain moderation reports, block records, and PDF security events where needed for safety review, abuse prevention, legal claims, or compliance.
- May retain anonymous aggregate statistics that cannot reasonably identify you.
What deletion may not do
- It may not remove local PDF copies, annotations, or cached files stored on your device. Clear app data or uninstall the app to remove local device copies.
- The current free-only pre-submission build does not offer app-store subscriptions. If paid access is enabled later, account deletion will not automatically cancel or refund those subscriptions; use Apple App Store or Google Play subscription management for cancellations and refunds.
- It may not remove data that another user already saved locally from a peer-sharing delivery.
If you cannot access the app
Email privacy@benignant.app and include the account email address. We may ask for verification before processing an account-specific request.
