1. Educational use only
Benignant provides study planning, PDF workflow, AI-assisted quiz generation, peer sharing, Daily Consult, and educational review features. It is not a medical device, clinical decision support system, diagnosis tool, treatment tool, or substitute for professional judgment. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or advise on any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must provide reasonably accurate profile information when using cohort or peer-sharing features.
- You may not impersonate another person, bypass app security, scrape data, attack the service, or use another user's account.
3. Uploaded and generated content
- You should only upload or share materials that you have the right to use.
- You may not upload files containing malware, active PDF actions, embedded executable content, non-consensual sexual material, patient-identifying material without authorization, or other harmful content.
- AI-generated questions and explanations can be incomplete, incorrect, or misleading. You are responsible for checking them against reliable educational sources.
- Daily Consult and quiz material may be AI-assisted and may contain mistakes even when reviewed for educational accuracy.
- Question-bank contributions may be stored, curated, transformed, anonymized, or removed according to the Privacy Policy and product moderation decisions.
4. Peer sharing
Peer sharing is intended for study-file requests inside the same self-attested university/class cohort. Usernames may be visible to other users involved in a request or delivery. Do not share private, illegal, copyrighted, harmful, patient-identifying, or non-study materials.
Users may report content or accounts and may block other users through the app. Benignant may review related account/profile details, report context, request/delivery metadata, and reported files where needed to investigate abuse, non-consensual material, unsafe PDFs, impersonation, or cohort misuse. Reports are reviewed as evidence and do not automatically create a ban.
5. PDF safety
PDFs uploaded for peer sharing or AI quiz generation may be placed in quarantine, checked for unsafe structures, rewritten or flattened where possible, rejected when unsafe or unsupported, and logged for security review. Local-only study PDFs that never touch server features remain on your device unless you choose to upload or share them.
6. Faculty review and educational attribution
Some Daily Consult or study content may be reviewed for educational accuracy by knowledgeable reviewers. Unless a reviewer has explicitly agreed to public attribution, Benignant should not present names, titles, or institutions as endorsements, approvals, certifications, or clinical guidance.
7. Subscriptions and paid features
Paid subscriptions and in-app purchases are not available in the current free-only pre-submission build. If paid features become available later, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and withdrawal rights will be handled through the applicable app store or payment provider, and this page must be updated before those paid features are submitted or promoted. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country.
8. Availability and changes
The app may change, lose experimental features, or be temporarily unavailable. We may update features, quotas, policies, or these terms as the product matures.
9. Termination
We may restrict or terminate access if an account appears to violate these terms, abuse the service, compromise security, infringe others' rights, or create legal risk.
