The rules for using Benignant.

1. Educational use only

Benignant provides study planning, PDF workflow, AI-assisted quiz generation, peer sharing, Daily Consult, and educational review features. It is not a medical device, clinical decision support system, diagnosis tool, treatment tool, or substitute for professional judgment. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or advise on any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide reasonably accurate profile information when using cohort or peer-sharing features.
• You may not impersonate another person, bypass app security, scrape data, attack the service, or use another user's account.

3. Uploaded and generated content

• You should only upload or share materials that you have the right to use.
• You may not upload files containing malware, active PDF actions, embedded executable content, non-consensual sexual material, patient-identifying material without authorization, or other harmful content.
• AI-generated questions and explanations can be incomplete, incorrect, or misleading. You are responsible for checking them against reliable educational sources.
• Daily Consult and quiz material may be AI-assisted and may contain mistakes even when reviewed for educational accuracy.
• Question-bank contributions may be stored, curated, transformed, anonymized, or removed according to the Privacy Policy and product moderation decisions.

4. Peer sharing

Peer sharing is intended for study-file requests inside the same self-attested university/class cohort. Usernames may be visible to other users involved in a request or delivery. Do not share private, illegal, copyrighted, harmful, patient-identifying, or non-study materials.

Users may report content or accounts and may block other users through the app (see section 5). Benignant may review related account/profile details, report context, request/delivery metadata, and reported files where needed to investigate abuse, non-consensual material, unsafe PDFs, impersonation, or cohort misuse.

5. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

Benignant has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. By creating an account you agree not to post, request, send, or share objectionable content and not to abuse other users.

• Objectionable content includes sexual or pornographic material, non-consensual intimate material, hate speech or discrimination, harassment or bullying, threats or incitement to violence, graphic violence, illegal content, patient-identifying information shared without authorization, malware or unsafe files, spam, and impersonation.
• Abusive behaviour includes harassing, threatening, stalking, or intimidating other users, sending unwanted or repeated requests or files, and using peer sharing to target someone.

Report and block in the app. You can report a lecture request, a shared file, or a user directly from the peer-sharing screens, and you can block any user. Blocking hides that user's peer-sharing requests and deliveries from your account; you can unblock them later from the blocked-peers list in the app. You can also email support@benignant.app.

Review within 24 hours. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours. Objectionable content is removed, and users who posted it or behaved abusively are suspended or permanently removed from Benignant. A report alone does not automatically ban an account; each report is reviewed before action is taken.

6. PDF safety

PDFs uploaded for peer sharing or AI quiz generation may be placed in quarantine, checked for unsafe structures, rewritten or flattened where possible, rejected when unsafe or unsupported, and logged for security review. Local-only study PDFs that never touch server features remain on your device unless you choose to upload or share them.

7. Faculty review and educational attribution

Some Daily Consult or study content may be reviewed for educational accuracy by knowledgeable reviewers. Unless a reviewer has explicitly agreed to public attribution, Benignant does not present names, titles, or institutions as endorsements, approvals, certifications, or clinical guidance.

8. Subscriptions and paid features

Benignant is currently free to use: it has no paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. If paid features are introduced later, these terms will be updated before they are offered, and billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and withdrawal rights will be handled through the applicable app store or payment provider. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country.

9. Availability and changes

The app may change, lose experimental features, or be temporarily unavailable. We may update features, quotas, policies, or these terms as the product matures.

10. Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if an account violates these terms (including section 5), abuses the service or other users, compromises security, infringes others' rights, or creates legal risk.

12. Türkçe: Sakıncalı içeriğe ve kötüye kullanıma sıfır tolerans

Benignant, sakıncalı içeriğe ve kötüye kullanım yapan kullanıcılara karşı sıfır tolerans uygular. Hesap oluşturarak sakıncalı içerik paylaşmamayı, talep etmemeyi veya göndermemeyi ve diğer kullanıcılara kötü davranmamayı kabul edersiniz.

• Sakıncalı içerik; cinsel veya pornografik materyal, rıza dışı mahrem içerik, nefret söylemi veya ayrımcılık, taciz veya zorbalık, tehdit veya şiddete kışkırtma, aşırı şiddet içeren görüntüler, yasa dışı içerik, izinsiz paylaşılan ve hastayı tanımlayan bilgiler, zararlı yazılım veya güvensiz dosyalar, spam ve başkasının kimliğine bürünmeyi kapsar.
• Kötüye kullanım; diğer kullanıcıları taciz etmeyi, tehdit etmeyi, takip etmeyi veya korkutmayı, istenmeyen ya da tekrarlanan talep veya dosya göndermeyi ve peer sharing (arkadaşlarla paylaşım) özelliğini birini hedef almak için kullanmayı kapsar.

Uygulama içinde raporlama ve engelleme. Paylaşım ekranlarından bir ders talebini, paylaşılan bir dosyayı veya bir kullanıcıyı doğrudan raporlayabilir ve herhangi bir kullanıcıyı engelleyebilirsiniz. Engellediğiniz kullanıcının paylaşım talepleri ve gönderimleri hesabınızdan gizlenir; engeli daha sonra uygulamadaki engellenen kullanıcılar listesinden kaldırabilirsiniz. support@benignant.app adresine de yazabilirsiniz.

24 saat içinde inceleme. Her rapor 24 saat içinde incelenir. Sakıncalı içerik kaldırılır; bu içeriği paylaşan veya kötüye kullanım yapan kullanıcıların hesabı askıya alınır ya da Benignant'tan kalıcı olarak çıkarılır. Rapor tek başına otomatik yasaklama sebebi değildir; işlem yapılmadan önce her rapor incelenir.
